Crying in the Back Building

My name is Chen Yan. To inherit my grandfather's estate, I returned to the remote town of Luowu and moved into an old apartment building that had been abandoned for decades.

The whole building was dead quiet. All the tenants had left, and only the rear building remained sealed off year-round, bricked up and shunned by everyone.

On my first night there, I heard a woman sobbing in the rear building. The sound was chillingly clear and went on all night.

The door was locked from the inside, yet tiny footprints appeared out of nowhere in my room, circling my bed. Someone watched me sleep all night.

Red clothes, red shoes, a deathly pale hand, eyes without pupils...

The woman who hanged herself in the rear building thirty years ago had never left.

My grandfather guarded the building all his life and never spoke of it. It turned out he hadn't been living alone. He was atoning, suppressing evil, and repaying a debt.

I'm the last surviving member of the Chen family. What she wants has never been to scare me. She wants my life.

As long as the crying in the rear building continues, I'll never escape this man-eating old building.
