Lin Youyou is an invisible nobody at work, a sweet, slightly airheaded girl whom her colleagues see as an easy mark. For years, her hypocritical boss has exploited and bullied her. After she is publicly humiliated for taking the blame for someone else, she unexpectedly activates the Knowledge Is Power System. By reading books, she earns points that can be exchanged for incredible abilities, such as perfect recall and exceptional research skills.
From then on, Lin Youyou leads a double life. By day, she is still the clumsy office drone who spends all her time slacking off. By night, she immerses herself in a sea of knowledge, anonymously solving one industry technical challenge after another and becoming the mysterious “Genius X” online.
While working on a company project, she meets Ji Yan, a top-tier star in the industry, a photographer with a flamboyant appearance. Drawn to her “pure, adorable stupidity” and the flashes of brilliance she lets slip from time to time, Ji Yan pursues her passionately. As Lin Youyou tries to hide her secret identity as a top student while fending off Ji Yan’s many flirtatious advances, they stumble through one hilarious mishap after another.
