“Whoa! Are there even any animals left in that zoo?”
The ancient monster Taotie Wu Le woke up ravenous, so she decided to go hunting for a meal.
The prey had to be big, with plenty of meat, and ideally a beautiful pelt she could make into a new rug.
So she set her sights on a big tiger out for a stroll.
But just after she finally caught it, a bunch of strange humans surrounded her. With honeyed words and fragrant braised chicken drumsticks, they tricked her out of her tiger.
Sob, she was still hungry.
“What? I can’t eat tigers?”
“What? I can’t eat leopards or bears either?”
“Just because they’re endangered? Has no one considered the safety of the stomach of the only Taotie in the whole world?”
Qin Huai, head of the Monster Management Bureau, said, “If you want to eat something, you’ll have to earn it yourself! You need to fit into human society! So, what skills do you have?”
Wu Le replied, “I’m really good at raising little animals!”
Qin Huai said, “In that case, we happen to have a plot of land you can use for livestock!”

Later, someone interviewed the director of this popular zoo: “How did you manage to raise all these animals so well?”
Wu Le said, “I don’t know. I only wanted to start a pig farm in the first place.”
