Set in the near future of 2073, the twelfth year after the Cataclysm of the Sky Rift. Massive dimensional rifts have appeared in seventeen places across the globe, and abyssal monsters keep pouring through. Cities have become ruins. Humanity is left with only twelve major safe zones and countless small settlements. Order has collapsed, and the strong prey on the weak. The "chaotic energy" emanating from the rifts not only breeds monsters, but also mutates humans and distorts the environment. The apocalypse has entered a "protracted struggle for survival."
The "Balance Observation System," created by an advanced civilization in the Milky Way, has the core mission of recording fluctuations in the energy of civilizations and maintaining the balance between order and chaos.
When it arrived on Earth, it was struck by energy from a dimensional rift. Its core program split into an "Order Module" and a "Chaos Module," and both lost their memories. Each believes the other is a "System virus" and must devour it to become whole again, then compete for "energy supremacy" over Earth's civilization.
Male Lead One: Lin Chen (the righteous faction)
Identity: The eldest son of the top-tier Lin family, once one of the wealthiest families before the Cataclysm of the Sky Rift. Separated from his family during the disaster, he was adopted by the supreme commander of the Eastern Safe Zone and grew up with every advantage, the safe zone's "chosen one." Given an elite education from childhood, he firmly believes that "human nature is good" and "order can be rebuilt."
Male Lead Two: Lin Jin (the destruction faction)
Identity: Lin Chen's biological younger brother. He was only five when the Cataclysm of the Sky Rift struck. Separated from his family, he fell into the "Ruins Forbidden Zone," the most dangerous uninhabited area, and grew up amid darkness and slaughter. He knows nothing of his origins and remembers only betrayal and pain.
The story follows the two as they love and fight each other.
