A Faraway Arrival

He Xu, a retired electronics factory technician, lives a lonely life after his daughter moves far away to marry and his wife passes away. A sudden thunderstorm completely changes the rest of his life.

While sheltering from the rain in a pavilion, he sees a mysterious girl in a purplish-red dress, light on her bare feet, float down from the sky. He braves the rain and takes her home.

The girl lies unconscious. Her skin is flawless and pale, and her weight is unnaturally light. Her hair is soaked, yet her clothes are dry and spotless. Every strange detail makes it clear she is no ordinary person.

He Xu watches over her for three days. When she wakes, she has lost all her memories and is as innocent as a blank sheet of paper. He names her Yaoyao, takes her in as his daughter, and teaches her about the world from scratch.

Over two years together, He Xu investigates her secrets and helps her recover her memories...
