Cupid: Not a Speck of Dust on the Mountain

They say that when two people in love reunite for the fourth time, they will find happiness.

A long separation, then a reunion, then another reunion.

Lu Yangchen (bodyguard, gong) × Wen Qilian (doctor, shou)

Happy ending, a little bittersweet. No melodrama or misunderstandings, just the protagonists growing up.

The story begins with thirty-year-old Wen Qilian saying, “I want to hug you.”

When they meet again, Lu Yangchen says, “Let me hold you, like I used to.”

The drizzle in Yancheng is endless, damp, cold, and clinging, just like the years of dark, unseen longing. At last, it creeps upward through the rain-soaked hems of their trousers, clinging, enveloping, and hurting so much they can barely breathe.

Lu Yangchen and Wen Qilian bare their hearts at the funeral of a mutual friend, then meet again at the hospital when one of Lu Yangchen’s colleagues is injured.

It seems they always grow closer because of someone else.

Their thoughts about life and death, and their discussions about love and peace, never come to an end.

I’m no good at writing blurbs, so please read the story itself.
