Defying the Immortal Path: With Mortal Bones, I Suppress the Heavens with My Sword

The road to immortality stretches on, yet everyone says that mortals have no right to glimpse the Dao. The immortal sects stand high above, treating all living beings like grass. The path of the sword is boundless, and they say only geniuses can grasp its true meaning. The chosen ones trample through the dust and laugh at ordinary people as if they were ants.

I, Lu Chen, was born in a wasteland of the mortal world. I have an ordinary mortal's bones, no spiritual roots, and no talent, yet I happened to find half of a broken sword and hear these words of the Dao: "Even mortal bones can defy the immortals; a dull sword can cleave the sky." More fortunate still, a streak of pure light entered my life. No matter how many trials and dangers I face, she alone is where my heart belongs, and every stroke of my sword is to protect her.

The immortal sects cast me aside, the chosen ones humiliated me, and the Heavenly Dao crushed me. Then I would lay my foundation with mortal bones, wield a broken sword, defy the path, shatter the rules of the immortals, and seek the Great Dao! If anyone so much as harms her, I will grind their bones to dust, even if they are an immortal or a god.

I slay false immortals, shatter illusions, uphold the justice in my heart, and protect those by my side. From the humblest mortal beginnings to the highest heavens, from a forsaken disciple with mortal bones to a swordsman who subdues all the heavens: this is the meaning of the title, "With Mortal Bones, I Subdue the Heavens with My Sword."

On the path to defy the immortals, the Canglan Blade makes all the heavens tremble wherever I go. All paths submit before my sword. My heart belongs to her alone!
