Survival in the Star Realm: It Begins with a Pact with a Shadow

[Multiple heroines + laid-back daily life + myriad worlds + civilization-building + slow pace + shadow companion + elves + angels + dragon girls...]

With the Star Realm’s arrival ten years away, the Azure Heavenly Dao stakes everything on one desperate move: it sends the sparks of humanity, one hundred thousand people, to an endless array of planes where time flows at different speeds.

When Chu Yun wakes, he finds himself on a Western fantasy continent where dragons roar, elves whisper, and wizards seek the truth. All he has is a unique talent that seems useless in battle: [Contract].

His first step from the start is not to seek allies, but to fuse a wondrous object bestowed by the Heavenly Dao with his own shadow and perform a mad alchemical ritual. When the shadow condenses into a girl named Yingyou and forms an eternal symbiotic contract with him, Chu Yun knows his path is unlike anyone else’s.

From then on, he walks between light and shadow:

He contracts with the elements and commands their source;

he contracts with the powerful and weaves a network of influence;

he contracts with civilizations and trades knowledge from other worlds;

and he forms bonds of fate with the foreign princesses who dazzle the Star Realm, ancient elves, innocent silver dragons, singers from the deep sea...

As the thousand-year protection period draws to a close and the tide of Star Realm convergence rolls in, powerful figures from countless planes look on covetously. Chu Yun stands at the center of a web of rules woven from countless contracts and looks back: behind him are the beloved companions whose fates are bound to his, the countless contractors who follow him, and the human civilization waiting for him to forge a way forward.

“By the name of contract,” he declares calmly, gazing into the boundless Star Realm, “I hereby make this pact: the people of the Azure Realm shall have a place to call home, and the flame of civilization shall never go out.”

This is a story about rules, bonds, and the survival of civilization.
