My KPIs Come from the Chosen One

Chen Shen is the Ghost Nether Sect’s top cleaner and the undisputed king of overwork.

While others cultivate immortality, he works toward his KPIs. For ten years, he has devoted himself to rooting out traitors in every sect. His only dream is to save enough spirit stones to retire and open a teahouse.

Then he takes on an S-rank mission: the target is Lin Feng, whose resume reads like a textbook example of a child of destiny. Broken engagement, public humiliation, surviving a cliff jump, stumbling upon a fortuitous encounter, winning the favor of a saintess... Every box is ticked. He’s the fattest sheep of them all.

Chen Shen rubs his hands together, ready to cash in on the assignment, only to discover that invisible threads are wrapped around this “fat sheep.” The manual he’s been studying for ten years, Practical Sect-Cleaning Methods, suddenly begins to reveal a bizarre diagram of the flow of destiny.

Both the righteous and demonic paths turn their blades on him. His most trusted superior smiles and tells him, “Try not to work so hard in your next life.” At last, Chen Shen understands:

He’s the “villain” who’s about to be defeated and replaced.

No, wait.

If the whole world wants him dead, then he’ll flip the board and become the one moving the pieces.

“Want me dead? You’ll have to ask my KPIs first.”
