[Vampires + Mary Sue + Devoted Dog + Everyone Is Chaste]
As the progenitor of vampires, Cecilia has seen the world rise and fall.
So she decides to die.
But before she does, she needs to find a suitable successor to fulfill the progenitor’s duties.
Just then, she encounters Chi Lin, an illegal immigrant who has made his way to Europe.
She gives Chi Lin the first bite, passes her power on to him, and dies before his eyes.
-
Hundreds of years later, Chi Lin watches Cecilia’s coffin fade away.
He knows Cecilia has been reincarnated.
He just never expected her to lose her memories and become a child.
He takes her home, names her Chi Xiya, and cares for her devotedly.
But Chi Xiya really does think he’s just a kind stranger.
She even falls in love with someone else.
So he decides to break them up, imprisoning her in the name of love.
-
“Be good, baby. The men out there are all scoundrels. I’m the only one who truly loves you. I’d give you anything, even my life.”
“But he’s younger than you.”
Chi Lin, a vampire over three hundred years old, feels defeated for the first time.
“Then I’ll turn you into an old monster like me, and you won’t care about my age anymore.”
-
But once Chi Xiya is turned into a vampire, her memories of the past come flooding back.
“Who gave you the nerve to keep me as your pet?”
Chi Xiya looks at the man kneeling before her and presses her foot hard against his chest.
Chi Lin looks up at the object of his devotion and presses his lips to the top of her foot.
“Everything I have is yours, Your Highness.”
…Fool.
I really like vampire-themed novels, and the pull between the male and female protagonists is very funny 😘
This book is super nice, but a bit unsatisfying. Please give me a follow-up 😘😘
