An ancient fantasy story about the court struggles between the three sons of the Liang clan (Changyue Runli, Changyue Runyu, and Changyue Qi) and members of the Yue clan. Runli holds firm at court, Runyu commands the military, while Qi was raised under his brothers’ protection. But his naturally gifted Chaos Star Eyes make him a target for his enemies, forcing him into the maelstrom. Jueying, ruler of the Changyue clan, is suspicious by nature. He tries desperately to protect his queen, but pressure from his ministers and the stars forces him to sentence her to death to save their three children. Their mother, Queen Liang Ying, uses the stars’ paths to lay her plans and protect her children. She gives her life to secure their right to inherit, and over more than a decade of struggle against the Yue clan, the three children continue to grow. In the end, Runli prophesies that Qi will become the next ruler. His two older brothers do all they can to raise him and pave the way for him, ultimately sacrificing themselves to save him.
