Ning Jin, a student in the Screenwriting Department of the Film School, originally thought that the biggest problem in life was how to write a stunning script before graduation. Until one day, a mysterious text message pulled him into a real killing game called "Survival and Death Script". Each "script" is a carefully designed death trap in which participants, called "actors," must play designated roles and complete a narrow escape mission. The price of failure is to be completely "erased" from this world. When the script came into reality, and when death became an N-machine, Ning Jin was forced to use the screenwriting knowledge he had learned to deconstruct fatal plots one after another and analyze the motivations behind each character, just to survive before the director called "stuck". However, as each script came to an end, he gradually discovered that the truth of this game was far scarier than any horror movie he had imagined.
