The Firebearer

[Female Protagonist] [Lovecraftian]

The gods of this world choose their own believers and grant them their powers. But to form a pact with a god, a believer must pay a special price.

Ye Ling, a member of the Fireseed Administration with no memories of her past, is tasked with maintaining stability in South City and fighting a kind of monster in this world: believers.

But just as she thinks she will keep this bizarre balance forever, a woman she has never met comes looking for her. She brings Ye Ling's past with her, along with a hatred that has lasted a thousand years.
