At midnight, seven strangers who have never met are dragged into a late-night livestream they cannot leave.
The only administrator has the ID: [The Deceased].
The rules are cruel and simple: For seven days, at midnight each night, the System will randomly choose one person, who must tell a true, complete horror story about something they personally experienced on camera. Otherwise, they will be erased instantly. Refuse to tell a story, and they’ll be erased all the same. The livestream’s doors will open only after all seven people have told their stories over seven consecutive nights. The survivors will receive “the truth.”
Paranormal streamer Lin Xiao is the first to tell her story. After she shakily recounts her encounter with evil spirits in an abandoned haunted house, she notices that the comments on the screen have changed: Everyone is staring behind her. And from behind her comes a breath that doesn’t belong to this world.
As the nights pass, the secrets behind each storyteller are revealed one by one: a taxi driver who picked up a female ghost, a programmer whose roommate vanished mysteriously, a therapist who received a sinister doll… The seven seemingly unrelated stories are secretly intertwined, forming one horrifying truth: All seven of them were chosen by the same curse long ago.
And when the seventh night arrives and the final storyteller begins, everyone finally understands: The door to the Chronicles of the Strange was never meant to let them leave.
Seven nights, seven stories, seven people.
Those who finish their stories may not survive, and those who survive may not be human.
