In 2026, Japan ignored international opposition and continued dumping nuclear wastewater into the Pacific for ten years. The global ecosystem collapsed completely: marine life mutated, extreme weather grew frequent, and desertification worsened. Humanity struggled to survive on the brink of extinction.
On January 1, 2030, a mysterious force descended upon the world.
One person from each country was randomly selected to enter a “National Fortune instance,” broadcast live across the globe. The longer they survived, the greater the rewards their country received: increased crop yields, medical breakthroughs, purified energy, restored territory, genetic evolution for the entire population, and more. Conversely, the earlier a contestant died, the harsher the natural disaster that would strike their country in proportion.
Longguo’s contestant was Lin Xing, 28, a former game tester and now a food delivery rider.
At the moment he was selected, he was pushing his dead electric scooter while making a delivery. The next second, a pillar of light engulfed him, and he appeared in a nuclear-contaminated city shrouded in radioactive dust.
“Ding! [Survival Road: Cheat Edition, currently in beta] activated successfully!”
“Radioactive cloud ahead. Detour recommended. Of course, if you want to try growing a third arm after mutating, then forget I said anything.”
“This mushroom looks delicious. Eat it and you’ll get to meet your great-grandma. Friendly reminder: Great-grandma says she doesn’t want to see you.”
Lin Xing: ??? Can I return this System?
System: No. You should learn to be grateful, dummy.
Give some encouragement to new authors, cheers⛽
Encourage me, Shuangwen
I hope they are just teammates and don't have any ambiguous love affairs!
