We always think that depravity is a matter of a moment, an evil act caused by a single thought. But the real reality is never like this. It will never give you a black-and-white multiple-choice question, and it will never let you make a clear decision between "good" and "bad." It will only give you one seemingly trivial side road after another, and each time it will give you an extremely valid reason: to save your loved one, to help others, to survive, and to make the people around you live a better life.
Every time you tell yourself that this is the time, it won't happen next time; every time you comfort yourself, I just can't help myself; every time you look at more and more money in your hands and the temporarily stable lives of the people around you, you feel that everything you do is worth it. It wasn't until one day when I looked back that I realized that I had gone too far and could never go back to the original path.
