Humanity has gained the right to exist at the expense of sound.
After parasitic spores swept the world, symbiosis with "silent bacteria" became a mandatory survival protocol. As a result, society split into two classes: the vast majority of "dumb people" who have lost their voices, and the minority of "voiced people" who retain some privileges of speaking and rule everything.
Silence is a perfect mute spy. He lurks in the core organization of the Yin people and steals information with his unique skill of lip reading. His ultimate mission is to capture the key to the "sound backup library" that can permanently solidify his class.
However, the mission went off track when he saw the same suspicion in the eyes of his target, Lin Zuo, a top Yin-born scientist. The truth they discovered together was extremely cruel: the spore crisis was caused by humans, and the non-human voices sealed in the backup database were the original "summoning frequency" of the parasitic spores.
The world is a huge breeding farm, sound is feed and silence is shackles.
Now, silence holds the key to unlocking the shackles. He will face three choices: completely destroy the spores and return mankind to the fragile but free age of speech; maintain silent peace and continue eternal oppression; or risk everything and compose a new symbiotic prelude to the frequency of destruction.
