[Campus + urban romance + obsessive devotion + sweet and angsty wish fulfillment + healing]
“Don’t...”
“What did you say?” A doctor bent down, bringing his ear close to the man's lips.
“Don’t save me...” The delivery rider's voice was weak, yet strangely clear.
“You’re badly injured. If we don’t operate immediately, your life will be in danger!” the doctor said urgently.
“I... don’t have money...” He coughed twice, a trace of blood spilling from the corner of his mouth. “I’m worthless... Just let me go...”
The medical staff tried to comfort him. “Don’t lose hope. Think of your parents and family, who are waiting for you to come home!”
“I... don’t have any family. Don’t waste your time!”
The story is real and down-to-earth, and I loved listening to it. It reminded me of what the countryside was like when I was a child. (♡>𖥦<)/♥
The suffering of the people at the bottom is written vividly and heartbreakingly.
