Back in the 1980S: I Found a Strange Stone and Stole the Show

As an experienced exotic-stone appraiser, Lin Chen can tell at a glance that one of the gray-black stones is unusual. Its surface is rough, yet it gives off a faint, warm luster, and its patterns are strange. It is no ordinary pebble. He struggles out of bed to pick it up. It feels cool and smooth in his hand, heavier than an ordinary stone, and rings with a deep, solid sound when tapped. He's certain it's an exotic stone worth money.
