Beneath the modern metropolis lie "Spirit Ruins," born from human emotions, obsessions, and the spiritual energy of the land. The beings within these ruins feed on the bustle of everyday life and the essence of food, and are a mix of good and evil. The protagonist inherits "A Taste of Home," a specialty shop left behind by his ancestors, and awakens the "Spirit-Sight Eye," which lets him see the spiritual energy in food and the beings of the Spirit Ruins. Using the flavors of the human world as his guide, he brings the Spirit Ruins and humanity into balance. No System, no tired, overused tropes, just a wholly original urban fantasy world.
