[Rule-based horror + moral judgment + verbal takedowns]
My name is Su Mu, a philosophy graduate and corporate drone who believes that “everything can be settled by reason.”
I wake up one day to find myself dragged into the legendary world of rule-based horror.
Others face the deadly silence of [The Midnight Bus] and the fatal curse of [The Unmanned Hotel].
I face a bunch of unscrupulous monsters and a pile of rules that make no sense.
Fortunately, I’ve bound a unique talent: [The Court of Moral Judgment].
When a faceless ghost comes over to scare me to death, I report it for “slacking off on the job and terrorizing passengers”;
when the driver tries to cheat me out of points, I demand to know why “the car isn’t clean, the fire exit is blocked, and your company’s service score hasn’t been docked to zero”;
when the entire scenario tries to kill me with its rules, I choose to file complaints until it goes bankrupt.
Other players: We just want to survive, find a way out, and have a strong player carry us.
Me: Please, I’m begging you, try being reasonable. Your rules are illegal!
After I clear my tenth scenario, a “former rule adjudicator” clad from head to toe in black robes finds me:
“Kid, you think you’re using morality to bully the rules? Wake up. What you’re bound to is the world itself.”
“That bus driver you complained into a breakdown? He’s... the gatekeeper of this world.”
“And there’s a ‘person’ beyond that door who’s been waiting for you a long time.”
When the rules start making sense, the eerie world doesn’t seem so frightening anymore.
Until I discover that the “person” the “gatekeeper” is waiting for me to meet is my dead beloved.
