Day Seven: Clear Skies

The day Qi Xia disappeared, Chen Junnan realized he still couldn't let go.

So he made an absurd decision: to return to the place everyone wanted to escape.

The convenience store in Daocheng stays lit around the clock. Chen Junnan keeps watch over the shelves and the oden, waiting for someone who may never come.

On the seventh day, that person pushes open the door.

Later, Chen Junnan thinks that he is probably the biggest fool in the world, and also the luckiest.

After all, not everyone gets the chance to wait for a new beginning after the end.

“Qi Xia, what exactly are you trying to do?”

“...Nothing. I just suddenly realized that being alive is too boring on your own.”
