Three-and-a-half-year-old Princess Zhaoning of the Great Sheng Dynasty takes the throne as regent, with a golden finger that reveals loyalty and treachery: reward the red bars with candy, and make the black bars wash robes!
The icy-faced Chancellor Pei Yan has a black bar two meters and thirty centimeters long, yet the little princess stands on tiptoe and tugs at his robe. “Play with me, and I'll turn your black bar red!”
Court ladies causing trouble? Punish them with childcare! Corrupt officials lining their pockets? Make them dig potatoes! Maternal relatives plotting treason? Make them wash the imperial robes until their hair turns white!
This ferociously adorable little dumpling puts every troublemaker in their place, while the icy chancellor becomes her devoted nanny. No angst, and every chapter delivers. Watch the little princess wield a baby bottle in one hand and the imperial seal in the other as she rules the realm!
