Born to Be a Coffin Keeper

There is a river in Feng Village that no one can cross at night. A century of resentment lies hidden beneath its waters. Han Fugui, the village's guardian, is half-mad and half-witted, while his son, Han Siyang, was born able to see evil spirits. A hanging ghost comes to claim a life; a long tongue leaves a trail of evil; and a murder hidden for more than a decade brings forth the Black Ram Curse, seven ram knucklebones, and three deadly calamities. Wang Lamei was driven to her death by her own mother, Guiying was killed by her grandfather, the ram knucklebones suppress evil, and it is human kindness that saves lives. Han Siyang grows from an innocent boy into a coffin-maker at the Yuanshan Longevity Coffin Shop, calming souls with coffins, suppressing evil with bones, and guarding the village with his life. This is not a ghost story, but a human cycle of good and evil, sin and redemption.
