Chen Mo died suddenly from overwork.

Following a sweet, honeylike scent, Chen Mo made his way to Qi Heng's room.

The room was pitch-black. He turned on the light and saw a blue snake coiled over the doorway, staring down at him.

Chen Mo's legs gave way, and he fell to the floor, stammering Qi Heng's name.

Qi Heng rushed out from the corner, his face unnaturally flushed and his forehead slick with sweat.

“Sorry!”

He raised a hand to recall his spirit form, but in the next moment, he lost control and partially transformed into a beast.

Chen Mo watched the snake's tail hanging behind Qi Heng, then watched it slowly slither toward him and coil around his ankle.

He looked up at that pale, cool face.

“Holy shit, why are you still a snake?”

“Oh my god, I'm scared of snakes! Aaaaaah!”

Chen Mo kicked off with both legs, ready to flee the terrifying room.

The snake's tail tightened and wrapped around his waist.

Behind him, Qi Heng's voice came out hoarse and broken:

“Sorry, Chen Mo...”

“I can't quite hold back.”
