The protagonist Zhao Chen is a fictional character. He was born in an old Qin family in Yueyang, Guanzhong. He has been a Qin official for generations. Throughout his life, he has served as a county official in Yueyang, the head of the Yushifu, the history of the Tingwei Palace, and an official of the Langzhong Order. He has personally experienced the complete rise and fall of the Qin State from sweeping Liuhe, unifying the world, establishing laws and regulations, to the Sand Dune Change, the chaos in the world, and the destruction of Xianyang City. All major historical events and core figures strictly follow historical records such as "Historical Records", "Zi Zhi Tong Jian", "Sleeping Tiger Land Qin Slips" and other historical records. The details are reasonably fictitious. What is seen, heard, felt and thought from the first perspective is used to restore a real, three-dimensional and flesh-and-blood Qin Dynasty, rather than a facial expression of the "violent Qin" label.
