A 40-year-old AI mogul transmigrates into a sent-down youth in 1965.
One second, she is at the podium of an international summit, unveiling the next-generation AI architecture. The next, she is out in the fields of the Great Northern Wilderness, screaming because a bug has jumped onto the table.
Shen Xingmian, a legendary figure in AI and founder of a company worth hundreds of billions, transmigrates into the body of Shen Xiaomai: nineteen years old, from a politically suspect family, and hastily sent down to the countryside.
The good news: her original self was a math prodigy with a sharp mind.
The bad news: she has zero survival skills. She screams at ants, can't tell chives from wheat seedlings, and nearly sets the kitchen on fire trying to heat the kang.
And things get even worse:
Her adoptive father works in cryptography, and sent her to the countryside to “keep her out of danger.”
Someone is looking for her.
Her mathematical talent is both a treasure and a death sentence.
And worse still:
There's the man who always appears whenever she screams.
The way he looks at her is getting more and more suspicious.
All she wants is to keep her head down and wait for her younger sister to come rescue her.
But he catches bugs, helps carry water, heats the kang, and cooks for her, all while looking at her with that half-smiling, half-mocking expression.
“Shen Xiaomai, who are you, really?”
“...A sent-down youth who doesn't know what a potato is.”
“You don't know potatoes, and you're scared of bugs. What can you do?”
“Math problems.”
“...Fine. You do the math. I'll handle everything else.”
Later on,
She uses mathematics to catch spies, models to upgrade military equipment, and algorithms to predict oil production.
From the Great Northern Wilderness to the Daqing Oilfield, from sent-down youth to scientist.
In an era before computers even existed, she calculates what the future will look like.
The writing is quite good, but there is one uncomfortable point that makes me complain even without reading it. There are too many repetitive parts. For example, in the section about waiting for Mingming to come, I feel that in every chapter there is "Little Yang Mingming is coming." This very well reflects the heroine's desire for Mingming to arrive. Wei Changlin also said that the heroine was not raised in vain. I saw it twice. Help, it's really uncomfortable to watch the duplicate content. After changing this point, it is a good novel (it only represents my personal opinion, a very strong opinion!!!)
The whole article is very good, good-looking, and I can remember the characters. However, there is a heavy feeling like reading a history book. After reading it, I feel blocked. During that period of history, how many people remained anonymous and their families were separated. It was very heavy.
When I saw the author writing about picking up the harvested grain sticks in the field, it seems that the author is too young and has never seen manual harvesting of grains. The grains will never fall off the grain harvesting poles easily. They must be broken off one by one. The grain harvesting poles will also be cut off one by one and distributed to each family or left to feed the livestock. No one will be wasted. Therefore, there will never be a grain harvesting in the grain harvesting field. Only after harvesting the wheat, beans, etc., Will anyone go to the field to pick them up.
It's super good-looking, and the plot is very realistic without being suspended. It's sad but very admirable. From this book, one can vaguely feel the smoke of ten years of turmoil, under which countless scientists studied and contributed. Shen Xiaomai's growth has never been smooth sailing, with humanity and the complexity of the times. What moved me very much was that in the face of doubts from the outside world, she always just did it and let the results speak for themselves. Whether it was tractors or cutting-edge computer research, she was not swayed by other people's voices. There are tens of thousands of such figures in our country, who provide guarantees for national security and development and the lives of ordinary people, allowing us to proudly say that "being born in China is the greatest luck." It's a really, really good novel. I haven't written any book reviews and I can't rate it, but this book deserves five stars for both plot and layout. Although it is a little repetitive in some places, the flaws are not concealed. I don't understand why the rating can't go up, but as someone who has been reading for more than ten years, I think it's really good and I highly recommend it.
This book does not have the love and hatred of the heroine in ordinary times, and there is no story line about going from having nothing to being famous. It more completely shows the dedication of scientists who worked hard in that era. In the turmoil of that era, the country concealed their names for the safety of their lives. They did not pursue fame and fortune, only pursued the authenticity of data, and did practical things for the country.
Work hard on writing a book and make sure to keep updating it. I guarantee this is a period novel that takes an unusual path. It has a sense of time, the background is as close to historical facts as possible, and the characters each have their own personalities and destiny. Use a sentence that someone has used in history. Move forward amidst twists and turns, all the way to the peak of life.
Pay tribute to all those who work silently! The writing is good. We cannot change the course of history, but for the sake of faith, we still continue to work hard.
I quite like this book. The sense of time is not made up, and the characters are well established. The author said that this is his first full-length novel, and it feels good to write it like this for the first time. After reading fifty or sixty chapters, this buried thread is quite interesting.
Life is useless, different fireworks
I like the article very much. The characters are delicate and vivid, the plot is compact and smooth, and the article is warm and touching. This rating should be at least 9 or above Thanks to the author for his hard work
