On the surface, Su Hang is an unremarkable college student. In truth, she was born into a declining family of Gu masters. From ancient times to the present, Gu mastery has been a mysterious profession. Some Gu masters use their arts to enjoy wealth and luxury and bask in the adoration of the masses; others commit countless evil deeds and harm people; and still others are so mysterious that no one knows what they might be plotting in secret.
Whatever their kind, Gu masters follow an unwritten rule: a Gu master's tomb is buried alongside the Gu vessel they used. They do everything possible to make their tombs perilous, ensuring that anyone who enters without being a Gu master will never return. The grandeur of a Gu master's tomb also reflects the rise and fall of their family.
During the holiday, Su Hang's father offers to take her to a mysterious place, and a tale among Gu masters begins to unfold.
