[No female lead (if there is one, only one) · Slice of life · Mildly altered canon · Features edible Pokemon · About me becoming a chef in the Pokemon world]
Mai Xiaoqiang transmigrated and became the nephew of A Feng, Gym Leader of Cortondo in Paldea.
The good news: Xiaoqiang is about to become a Pokémon Trainer. The bad news: Xiao Qing and Senior Sister Nilu have already explored the Great Crater. Since he can't be a hero, he might as well settle down and become a chef.
After all, his dream was never to become a battle champion, but to make delicious food that brings smiles and laughter to both humans and Pokemon.
In this “post-Scarlet and Violet era,” he follows his aunt, the Bug-type Gym Leader who loves desserts and believes that “little things can have great power.” He sees the everyday hassles of running a Gym and witnesses the most ordinary bonds between Trainers and Pokemon.
He uses a spatula instead of a Poke Ball, bringing together the lives he encounters through good food.
There are no villains he has to defeat here, only everyday moments worth protecting.
There are no protagonists chosen by destiny, only countless people and Pokemon working hard to make their own small, gentle lives.
Mai Xiaoqiang thinks this is just fine, until the egg in his arms grows faintly warm one moonlit night, giving off a dim light that doesn't belong to this world...
It turns out the story never truly ended. It was only waiting for him to arrive in a different way.
The book is very good, but there is one part of this book that struck a chord with me, so I really couldn't read it. Although there was a warning at the beginning that there might be details involving the use of Pokémon, but at the time I thought it was about the ingredients that Pokémon would naturally fall off, so I was shocked when I read that it hinted that I might have eaten four-season venison, so I could only say goodbye when I was worried that similar plots might appear in the future.
🤭 Love yourself well, good night [Pout]
Overall not bad
Give the book written by Ha Ji a good review 😏
