Wan Yanliang, named Yuan Gong, whose real name is Di Gunai, is the fourth emperor of the Kingdom of Jin. In the second year of Dading of Emperor Shizong of Jin Dynasty, he was demoted to the title of "Prince of Hailing County" with the posthumous title of "Yang", and later he was demoted to "Commoner of Hailing". Known as the "Hailing King" in history.
There are different evaluations of him in history. Some said that he was violent and lewd. His three major crimes were: regicide, matricide, and incest.
In the short story collection "Eternal Words to Awaken the World" compiled by Feng Menglong, a writer in the late Ming Dynasty, there is an article "Jin Hailing indulges in lust and commits suicide", which creates an image of a lewd king and makes him even more infamous.
Some also say that he was an emperor with a reforming spirit. His two major achievements are:
1. Moved the capital to Yanjing (today's Beijing).

In 1153, King Hailing moved the capital to Yanjing. It can be seen that the establishment of Beijing as a capital began with King Hailing moving the capital. He was the first emperor to establish a capital in Beijing, which has been officially confirmed.
2. The establishment of the Zhenglong official system promoted the feudalization of the Jurchens politically.
Liu Qi of the Jin Dynasty commented: "(Wan Yanliang) is a tyrant and self-improving, but he is heroic and ambitious. He has established an official system and laws and regulations, which are all impressive. He also promotes talents and will mix the world. Although his achievements are not successful, he is very strong."
He is the first Jurchen poet to write in Chinese.
"Da Jin Guo Zhi" said that Liang's "chanting and chanting were the best at that time".
He once wrote a poem to express his ambition: "Thousands of miles of carriages and letters are confused. How can there be no other frontier in the south of the Yangtze River? With millions of troops on the side of the West Lake, I will immediately reach the top of Mount Wu!"
For this reason, he deposed Jin Xizong Wanyan Dan; for this reason, he ignored the national conditions and public opinion and launched a massive attack on the Song Dynasty. He was finally killed and died on the way to attack the Song Dynasty.
