This Time Around, I’ll Be My Mother-in-Law’s Mother-in-Law

[Retirement-home director + soul-transmigration to the 1960s + the mother-in-law’s mother-in-law + the old woman who lived in my retirement home in my previous life becomes my daughter-in-law + high status and power + strong heroine + raising children + feel-good period drama + face-slapping the awful relatives + rewriting the family tree]

Gu Weihong, a modern retirement-home director, transmigrates into the 1960s as the mother-in-law of the era’s most notoriously mean mother-in-law.

Her daughter-in-law, Liu Zhaodi, lived in her retirement home in her previous life and made trouble at every turn. Now she’s her daughter-in-law, and still thinks she can walk all over her?

Gu Weihong smiles. “I put up with you in my previous life to keep my job. This time, I’m your mother-in-law, and I make the rules!”

You want to split up the family? Fine. First, pay a “care management fee,” just like at the retirement home.

You want to boss me around? Sure. You’ll be assessed by modern KPIs, and you’ll only get a smile if you meet your targets.

Watch as she uses modern management methods to get this chaotic household in perfect order and make it thrive.
