No System, no harem, no power fantasy, with a touch of supernatural ability
Floodwaters have swallowed the entire city, and humanity has become prey on the water.
Fish with human faces, impostors, spider people, giant salamanders... Every step leads to a deadly trap.
Lu Yu struggles to survive with a team of fellow survivors, but finds himself trapped in an endless cycle of despair:
Whenever he dies, time rewinds.
No matter where he runs, he cannot escape the cold whisper:
“The Lord's game board is set. You ants are trapped. Until the endgame, none may escape.”
They cling to hope and search for a way to survive the flood, only to stumble upon the most terrifying truth:
Is this so-called apocalypse a natural disaster? A man-made calamity? Or a carefully designed, never-ending hunt? Must humanity be wiped out?
A good book I accidentally dug up, Pure Apocalypse, is quite to my liking. The women portrayed in it are not like some apocalyptic novels that rely on men to survive, which I quite like. What impressed me most was that Lu Yu's mother didn't want to drag him down, so she decided to kill herself. This is quite shocking to me! If you like the theme of survival in the apocalypse, you can close your eyes and rush in, and you won't lose money if you invest in it!
I found this book by chance, and I was surprised that it turned out to be so good-looking. It is full of suspense, monsters, apocalypse, and Cthulhu feelings. The plot is slowly intertwined. Even the unknown human bones nearby have their own stories. It is very touching. Especially the part where the protagonist's mother prevents the protagonist from making a choice is super shocking and completely worth reading!
