Because I am in awe of that history. Taking "Zizhi Tongjian" as the skeleton is to keep the basics and let everyone see the most authentic situation of the Sui and Tang Dynasties.
I don't want to write too fancy and exciting articles, I just want to touch people's hearts with those that are thought-provoking. From the gatherings and separations in Wagangzhai to the establishment of the Li Tang Dynasty, there are blood and tears behind every turn.
As an author, I put all the details I have thought about day and night onto paper.
