A single corpse case leads to a string of mysterious events. See how Lin Ye faces the challenge as dark currents in the occult world begin to surge.
Lin Ye, a police officer and inheritor of the art of guarding the ley lines, joins Su Qinghan, heir to the Qingxuan arts, Shen Jinghan, an expert in severing evil, and Wen Jin, a cultivator who burns away evil, to attend the occult world’s grand gathering, held once every three years.
The sealed secrets of the occult world’s ancient catastrophe are gradually coming to light. Five of the legendary Eight Ancient Arts have appeared, while Night Xing Tian, the chief of the sinister path, lies in wait, biding his time and planning to unleash another storm of bloodshed amid the gathering’s chaos.
At Cloud Summit, extraordinary people and strange talents gather as righteous and evil forces clash. Some seek fame and fortune, some conceal malicious designs, some stand alone for the righteous path, and some are neither wholly righteous nor wholly evil.
The mysterious inheritor of the Fifth Art hides among the crowd, refusing to join the main characters and secretly heading for an unknown forbidden land. The inheritor of the Sixth Art, who is neither wholly righteous nor wholly evil, also lies in wait, ready to emerge. The remaining two arts exist only in legend, setting up the story’s biggest mysteries.
On one side are the order of the human world and the righteous path of the occult world. On the other are the safety of the dragon veins and the lives of all people.
Using their arts to suppress evil and their hearts to uphold the path, Lin Ye and his companions unravel the truth behind a century-old calamity in the occult world, one step at a time, amid its intrigue and endless schemes.
Righteousness and evil are hard to tell apart. The ancient arts have emerged, the dragon veins are the key, and an old calamity is about to return.
This time, they must protect more than one small town. They must protect all the people under heaven. The gears of fate have finally begun to turn...
