From the loess slopes of Haidong, Qinghai, to the plane-tree-lined roads of Xi'an, then to Mingsha Mountain in Dunhuang and the banks of the Yangtze in Wuhan, before finally arriving at the locomotive depot in Golmud, Lin Mo and Su He are two young people bearing the marks of their respective hometowns and life paths. They slowly draw closer in the torrent of time, yet the weight of reality forces them to face separation.
