[Female Assassin + Unhinged Prince + Two Strong Leads + Mutual Healing]
After transmigrating, Wen Shiyi thought the one thing she should never have done was get too involved with Changsun Ji.
They could never be on the same side.
Changsun Ji.
He was a monster everyone in the imperial palace avoided, a prince driven to the brink by fate. Yet somehow, he latched onto her, a ray of light that had unexpectedly fallen into his mire.
Again and again, she drew a clear line between them and said coldly, “We’re not on the same side.”
Again and again, he stubbornly closed the distance, his eyes filled with venomous resolve. “So what? I’m choosing to be on your side.”
She was a top-tier assassin who had transmigrated here, sharp-edged and formidable. All she wanted was to experience the wonders of this world, live for herself for once, and explore the myriad worlds Miaomiao had told her about.
But the more she ran, the harder he pursued her. The more she tried to break things off, the tighter he clung to her.
He made a net of his vulnerability and a lock of his obsession, slowly trapping her in his world.
Changsun Ji didn’t understand love. He only knew that he had to keep A Jiu by his side.
Wen Shiyi didn’t understand love either, but time and again, her sympathy for him made her give in.
Only later did she understand that this meeting had been the most genuine moment of love in her life.
And Changsun Ji spent his whole life proving it.
A Jiu, it can only be you.
(This is a story about both leads growing, so the pacing may be a little slow. The heroine is already quite capable from the start, but the hero doesn’t really come into his own until the middle of the story. He’s very weak at first~)
The writing is quite good, but I feel that the heroine is very busy, and the subordinates and maids around her basically have nothing to do.
