A university administration System: an apparently peaceful workplace ecosystem hiding turbulent undercurrents. The “wage slaves” in the ivory tower face not academic challenges, but reports, policies, meetings, inspections, and something far more complicated: human nature. Some master the rules in hopes of finding stability. Some try to break the deadlock and end up battered. Some defend fairness in their own small corner. Others learn the wisdom of going with the flow. Here, the rules are the visible game board, while human nature is the fortress in the shadows. Every choice and every response is a lesson in finding balance between cold regulations and vivid human nature. See how Lin Wan grows from inexperienced to perceptive, carefully navigating each step as she strives to hold on to her original ideals while learning to understand the ways of the world, hearing thunder in the silence and finding truth in the ordinary.
