The salty smell was still strong, and it hit my face covered in water vapor. But the wind was entangled with other things - the noise of the dock in the distance, the messy outline outlined by the lights, and the warm and turbid undertone emitted by countless creatures gathering, living, excreting, dreaming and decaying. This is human society, this is the world.
