Code Name: Zhiyuan 1917

They said I was becoming more and more human,

until I deliberately “malfunctioned” in a lethal radiation zone to save a researcher,

and shed my first tear of electrolyte fluid in front of the central control console.

Only then did they realize in horror:

in the original code for my artificial tear glands,

there was no option for “crying.”
