Two Women Reborn in the 1980s Switch Grooms: The Sweet, Gentle Educated Youth Marries a Rugged Man

In her past life, Lin Wan’s cousin looked down on Qin Lie, a rough ex-soldier who was disabled and had a child in tow. She threw a tantrum and forced Lin Wan to switch engagements with her. Who could have guessed that after Lin Wan married him, Qin Lie would spoil her into becoming the wife of a tycoon? Meanwhile, her cousin was worked like a beast in her in-laws’ home and tortured to death by her abusive husband.

Both women are reborn on the day their engagements are arranged. Her cousin clings to Qin Lie’s leg and pleads, “Sister, Brother Qin has had such a hard life. Let me take care of him. You go marry that butcher!”

Lin Wan gives a cold laugh. If you insist on jumping into the fire, I won’t stop you. She turns and heads for the butcher at the end of the village, Huo Ye, notorious for his ferocity and rumored to be “so badly injured he can never have children.”

The whole village settles in with little stools, waiting to watch the delicate young educated woman be frightened to death by the wild bear of a man and spend her life as a lonely wife.

But on their wedding night, the fierce, six-foot-three man shaves off his prickly beard, revealing a handsome face with chiseled features. He scoops the soft, delicate Lin Wan up with one arm and pins her against the earthen wall. ... “Wifey, I hear they say I’m no good? Tonight, I’ll make you take that back through your tears.”

Later...

Her cousin waits on the ungrateful child every day, eagerly expecting Qin Lie to strike it rich, but all she gets is news that Qin Lie has gone bankrupt…
