Synopsis

Forensic doctor Shen Yuan was framed and buried alive. The Great Judge of the Underworld descended into the world of the living through his body, to execute one hundred evildoers who had escaped justice.

From then on, Shen Yuan worked by day as a forensic doctor whose skills at the Forensic Examination Institute were legendary, using his scalpel to uncover the truth. By night, he became a brutal judge, dragging every criminal who had escaped the law into an illusion where they would endure the most horrific trials.

His methods were brutal and his actions decisive. He treated the rules of the mortal world as meaningless, soon drawing the attention of Ling Shuang, the female captain of the Special Operations Bureau. Ling Shuang was convinced that Shen Yuan was behind the criminals’ mysterious accidents, but she could never find evidence against him.

Faced with loopholes in the law and arrogant elites, Shen Yuan needed only a scalpel and a cold sneer: “If the law can’t handle it, I will.”

Crime Investigation and Case-Solving, Episodic Stories, No One Big Case Running Through the Whole Novel!

I want cases one after another, not a single major case running through the whole story. The female lead must have no romance! No tragic backstory or psychological trauma for every protagonist, either. Just solving cases!

Any Stories About Judging Only the Wicked Without Hurting the Innocent?

I quite like stories about trials. I was reading one recently but only got halfway through. The protagonist wanted to protect an endangered species, so they unleashed a virus that killed a hundred thousand people. I didn’t like that. Surely the dead included ordinary people just quietly living their lives.
