Overworked office drone Meng Fan nearly dies from working overtime when he unexpectedly activates the “Dual-Realm Auction House System.”
When he wakes, he’s in a run-down phone booth, completing his first deal with a survivor from a zombie wasteland: a pack of expired biscuits in exchange for a heavy gold bar and a crystal core.
Back in the real world, he’s trying to figure out how to cash in without drawing attention when he discovers that the wasteland crystal core contains enough energy to revolutionize human technology.
And the most exciting part? The System announces that the auction house headquarters is absolutely safe, but once you step outside, you’re on your own.
Meng Fan looks at the neon lights of the modern city outside the window, then down at the note handed to him by a wasteland survivor: “Bring antibiotics next time. I’ve got crystal cores to spare.”
