It tells the story of Shen Yuan, an ordinary person who unexpectedly takes over as the King of Hell after his death in a car accident, only to discover that Xu Nian, his wife in the underworld, missed him too much and began to frantically burn paper money, paper villas and even paper armies for him, causing inflation in the underworld and the economy on the verge of collapse. Shen Yuan tried to use "Yinfeng Communication" and other methods to stop him, but Xu Nian misunderstood that he was being bullied in the underworld, so he turned to study Taoism, burning charms and "munitions" for support. In the end, Shen Yuan used "dreaming" to meet his wife and persuaded her to stop.
