The World’s Musical Order Is Collapsing! Find the Eight Sacred Instruments to Save It

I’m a wandering musician. All I want is enough to eat, but they tell me I’m descended from the God of Music, and that I have to find the Eight Sacred Instruments and save the world’s musical order from collapse?

I say: What’s that got to do with me? You want me to inherit the God of Music’s legacy? This young master will shake the world with a broken flute instead!

I was just a carefree street kid, fond of drink and mischief, with a devil-may-care attitude. I lived as a wandering soul, free as the wind, and wanted no part of courtly intrigue or the shackles of Heaven’s will.

Who could have guessed that a twist of fate would force the legacy of the God of Music upon me, saddling me with the heavenly mission of gathering the Eight Sacred Instruments and restoring the world’s musical order?

“Heir to the God of Music? Upholding the righteous way of music and ritual? This young master can’t be bothered!”

I won’t cultivate orthodox celestial music or follow Heaven’s rules. I’ll rely on nothing but a battered old flute, playing to shatter schemes and plots, and to blast away the evil lurking in the demon abyss!

With discordant notes, I’ll cut down the ambitions of princes and lords; with wild music, I’ll protect countless ordinary people. Music will be my blade, and my melodies will pierce through illusion!

The lords vie for supremacy, demons wreak havoc across the land, and a deadly game where right and wrong are hard to tell closes in at every turn.

With kindred spirits at my side and tangled obsessions pulling me in every direction, I must ultimately face the question in my heart:

Should I bow to Heaven and become a musical pawn for the powerful to toy with?

Or defy my fate with flute in hand, and shatter this whole chaotic world with one mad song!
