They first met in the library at Yue University. From the sparks of attraction on a trip to Yunnan to their separation after a failed business venture, he spent two years toughening himself up in the army while she stayed behind and waited. They met again outside a guesthouse in Dali.
“Looking for a room?”
“Yes.”
From then on, they traveled through mountains and seas together, becoming each other's home.
