Lu Ze, the owner of Shanghai’s most popular malatang shop, has a 188 cm tall, soft-muscular physique that makes him handsome enough to trend online. But when his mother shows up unexpectedly to check on him, he urgently needs a professional organizer to save the day, and runs into Wen Xun, a funny blogger who came to review his shop.

A mix-up over the organizing job leads Lu Ze’s mother to decide on the spot that the soft, round-cheeked Wen Xun is her “daughter-in-law.” Just then, Wen Xun gets scammed out of her rent and has nowhere to go, so the two end up becoming roommates by a twist of fate. A cool guy who’s aloof on the outside but flirtatious underneath × a clingy little ray of sunshine. Amid the lively bustle of malatang and everyday roommate life, they embark on a witty, playful dance of mutual secret crushes. Their ordinary days are just beginning to fill with the heat of romance.
