My name is Lin Chen. I am a blasphemer in an age when the gods walk among us and the Five Orthodox Gods monopolize the people’s faith.

People become extraordinary by pleasing the gods.

Humanity ekes out a living in cities sheltered by divine protection. Beyond the city walls lie endless wastelands, where corruption and madness define the age.

But I believe in no gods, obey no doctrine, and blaspheme against the true gods. I devour their flesh and climb to the throne of heroes over the bones of the gods.

I infiltrate the churches of the gods, manipulating both lost sheep and devout believers as if they were in the palm of my hand.

And I, who have done all this, was once simply someone who had nowhere left to turn.

The runaway train of human civilization is barreling toward the abyss.

In this age, there is no such thing as a savior. The gods above the spirit world no longer care whether their sheep live or die.
