The star sea descends, and Modu sinks. Humanity rebuilds civilization atop the ruins, while Awakened fighters with bodies of steel battle void monsters, ushering in an age of high martial arts in the cities.
Gu Yan, a former ace whose license was revoked, now gets by repairing electric scooters on an old street. Then, one stormy night, an A-rank spatial beast tears through the barrier and descends on the city.
As everyone despairs, Gu Yan pulls out an electromagnetic sword made from salvaged aerospace parts.
“Skyward Sword, requesting permission to sortie.”
The next moment, sword energy soars into the sky, and beast blood splashes across the Huangpu River.
The battle not only reveals his strength, it also draws the attention of the official organization, the Abyss Suppression Bureau. The secret behind his past desertion, his comrades' last wishes, and the “Star Abyss Sword” that only he can wield…
Gu Yan had planned to coast through life, but a draft order from the “Star River” pushes him back onto the battlefield between humanity and the abyss.
This time, he fights not for glory, but to make the starry sky above worthy of the awe of future generations.
