Liu Qi, male, transmigrates into the cultivation world.
This world has tens of thousands of years of history. Legend says that in ancient times, Tribulation Transcendence cultivators could tear through the void and ascend to the upper realm. Now, however, spirit veins have run dry, the Heavenly Dao lies dormant, and Nascent Soul cultivators stand at the pinnacle of the mortal world.
Liu Qi doesn’t care about any of that. He’s just a failure rejected by all six peaks, then “picked up from the trash” by Puppet Peak.
Puppet Peak is the poorest peak in the Artifact Refining Sect. It has 27 disciples, all of them at the Qi Refining stage. The richest one owns more than twenty puppets for protection; the poorest has two made of paper. After Liu Qi arrived, he lowered the bar for “poorest” even further: he doesn’t have a single one.
Elder Xuanjizi is at the Golden Core stage. He owns a dragon puppet, supposedly a wreck he dug out of a secret realm in his youth. He’s been repairing it for sixty years and still hasn’t finished.
Liu Qi looked at the half-dead dragon, then at his own empty spirit-collecting pouch.
“Fine.”
“I’ll cultivate first.”
