[Juggler/Kai pairing + OOC warning + lots of personal headcanons]
“Juggler, can we still be like we were back on O-50?”
“Kai, stop asking such a stupid question. You know we can't go back.”
“No... I don't know! Juggler...” Kai choked out. “Please, won't you turn around and look at me?”
“(sighs softly) Kai, a proper warrior shouldn't cry. You're a hero now.”
“Juggler... I don't want this either, but I don't want you to leave...”
“...Kai, get a grip. Stop living in the past.”
“But Juggler, you're in my past...”
A note: I used to ship men together, then grew to dislike it, but after watching Orb, I started shipping Juggler and Kai. What a fated entanglement. I'm rooting for Juggler and Kai, but I couldn't find a substitute pairing that I liked, so I can only make a clumsy attempt at writing one myself. I hope you'll bear with me ( Ꙭ)
Also, the author doesn't ship any other male-male pairings in the Ultraman franchise, so please don't bring up other male-male pairings in the comments. Thank you.
